Product Macrophotography
During a rainy Sunday not too long ago, I spent a few hours doing product macro photography. For this purpose, I built a light tent out of PVC tubing and white fabric, and used poster board for a surface. A paperweight from China and a handmade meerschaum pipe from Poland served as the subjects.
To the left is one of the photographs of the Chinese paperweight. Specular highlights were subdued due to diffusion of the flashes through the white fabric. Below, is the meerschaum pipe. I was able to keep the depth of field due to the large amount of light produced by the three flashes.
If you would like more details on my setup or techniques, please write. I'll do my best to answer your questions.
