Sunset at Ward's Chapel
Sunset at Ward's Chapel
This photograph was originally taken in a field not far from the corner of Liberty Road on Ward’s Chapel, September 26, 2015, and posted to this blog shortly thereafter. On that evening, the clouds were magnificent and menacing, foretelling of a storm that was to come later that evening. The crop had been harvested several weeks earlier, leaving yellowing, dry stubble on the field where a farm wagon sat, with cobwebs on its wheels. There was just a hint of autumn in the leaves of the trees in the distance. These images are my memories of that sunset.
As I gain more experience in post-processing of my photographs, I thought it would be interesting to revisit this photo and see if I couldn’t improve it a bit. The goal was to add more depth and drama to this gorgeous autumn sunset, and convey to you all that I felt on that day.
Did I succeed? Please share your thoughts.
