Butterflies: Whites and Sulphurs
Butterflies: Whites and Sulphurs
I spent an afternoon earlier this week wandering around the margins of Centennial Lake in Columbia. The day was hot and humid, with just a hint of a breeze every now and then, but the insects obviously loved it, as there were thousands feasting on the nectar and pollen of the plants on the lake’s banks. Here are a few images from my trek. These three butterflies are in the group referred to as Whites and Sulphurs (http://www.marylandbutterflies.com/). I may have misidentified them, so feel free to offer corrections, if you wish.
Best wishes,
Bob
