Witch Hazel Still Life

Witch Hazel Still Life 1, color

Witch Hazel Still Life

Witch hazel (Hamamelis x intermedia) is the earliest bloomer in my garden, often starting in mid- to late February, and heralding in the upcoming warmer months. This particular bush is a new transplant, and as such I’ve been reluctant to do any pruning or cutting, but this year, with those blooms, I simply could not resist. So, here’s a still life ode to this beauty that goes by the name “Arnold’s Promise”.
