Windward Ho!

A final sailboat photograph. This time, a rather rare ketch, or at least I believe it’s a ketch. From the looks of its hull, I suspect its a steel hulled ketch, although I don’t know who made it nor the year of its construction. At the time the photo was taken, the captain has obviously taken great care in maintaining this beautiful vessel.

In the distance, nearer the horizon, is a second sloop, which makes me wonder if the two boats were in a friendly race, perhaps headed for port nearer Annapolis or other anchorage south of this location.
