Clematis Portraits

I am new to growing Clematis, having purchased four plants this spring. Of the four, two have thrived, one is getting by, and one died quickly.

The best-growing one has just starting putting out blooms, and are they ever nice! Big and long-lasting, with beautiful shades of purple, red, and hints of yellow.

Naturally, I have taken a lot of photos of these flowers, and here's the first I am sharing with you. Pretty nice flower, huh?
