A View of Trueth House

Located on the grounds of the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum in Oella, the Trueth/Bannaky House traces its history back to 1737 when Robert Ellicott purchased 100 acres of land in Baltimore County (Maryland, US). The 100 acres were divided and parcels sold to different families through the years, passing through generations and hands. The two and a half story, five-bay ashlar farm house was ultimately acquired by William and Elizabeth Trueth, and donated to the Park in 1985. The House is completely restored and continues as a public facility of the Banneker Museum.

Mathematician, astronomer, surveyor and publisher Benjamin Banneker was born in Maryland in 1731. The Benjamin Banneker Historical Park & Museum honors his land and legacy .
